He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Forbes and Alice Forbes; his sister Barbara Tarlton; and his sister-in-law Pat Forbes. He is survived by: his wife Alice Forbes; his children, James "Jimmy" Cunningham (Marcy), Jeffery Forbes (Tammy) and Laurie Howard (Charlie); and his siblings, Charlotte Matherlee (Thomas), Wilson "Bill" Forbes Jr. (Loretta) and David S Forbes. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
