He was predeceased by: his parents, David Randolph Lavender and Pauline Elizabeth Cole Lavender; his wife Ruth Ann Clemmer Lavender; and his siblings, David Lavender and Carol Lavender Truelove.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Ann Lavender Smith (John), Gregory Scott Lavender (Wanda) and Christopher Allen Lavender (Noel); and his grandchildren, Shad Aaron Lavender (Danielle), Tyler Ryan Smith (Hannah) and Brian Michael Smith (Christen). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
