He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Gussie Barnes Ownsby; his brother Herbert; his sister-in-law Martha Ownsby; and his mother-in-law Evelyn Stroupe.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Spargo Owensby; his children, Jackie Grigg (Tommy) and Jamie Owensby (Robin); his granddaughter Keisha Owensby Costner (Matt); and his pets, Muffy, Mopsy and Mattie. He is also survived by his family, his many friends.
