James Richard Ozment Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James Richard Ozment of Gastonia, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Ozment and Ethel Brame Ozment; his wife Ellen Barham Ozment; his daughter Kathy Sherrill Ozment; and his siblings, Lucille Johnson, Nell Lovings, Mae Brown, Louise Cummings, Hazel Weeks and Robert Ozment.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Appleton (Jim) of Charlotte, NC; his granddaughter Lindsay Appleton Birdwell (Jon); and his caregiver Donna Thornburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
