Janet Starkey Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 1, 2025, at the age of 72, Janet Starkey (Gastonia, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Janet's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Janet has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Belk and James Starkey of Charlotte, NC.. She is survived by: her daughters, Kassie Heath (late Willie Heath, III), Samantha Beck (Jack Beck) and Hope Spencer (Rodney Ellis). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers; and two sisters.
