He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Brown and Mammie Hooper Brown; his son Jimmy Wayne Brown; and his brother Bobby Brown. He is survived by: his wife Edith Alexander Brown; and his siblings, Woody Brown and Linda Cameron.
