He is survived by: his wife Wanda Hall Freeman; his children, John Freeman Jr. (Tammy), Amy Freeman Greene (Chris) and Marshall Freeman; his grandchildren, Tristan, Cassie, Marshall Jr. (Dylan), Nicky, Nikayla, Lucas, Cameron and Shuranda; his sister Vicky Gross Brenda (Norman); and his sisters-in-law, Linda Bost (Steve), Sylvia McLean and Teresa Pope.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Springwood Free Will Baptist Church (826 Stanley Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
