With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Nixon of Gastonia, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Nixon to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ossie Nixon Sr. and Margaret Rigler Nixon; his wife Joyce Lee Nixon; and his brother Charles Ossie Nixon Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Nixon Farrar (Scott) of Gastonia, NC, Julia Nixon Leinthall (Patrick) of Charlotte, NC and Todd Franklin Nixon (Tammy) of Greenville, TN; and his grandsons, Caleb, Joshua Farrar and Noah Nixon. He is also survived by three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cramerton First Baptist Restoration Fund, honoring Frank's commitment to his church and community.
