He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Wellman; his parents, Burl Wellman and Gareen Wellman; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Wellman. He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Spencer (Scott) and Misty Law (Brian); his brothers, Mike Wellman and Duke Wellman (Joni); his grandchildren, Brooke Spence (Tommy), Kaci Barrett (Mitchell), Bryson Law and Ashton Law; and his great grandchildren, Kyser, Jessie, Delilah, Evelyn, Kamden and Tate.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel (216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
