It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Lee Bolding of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brooks and Pauline McDonald; her siblings, Lon Brooks, Adam Brooks, Brenda Robinson and Gracie Robinson; and her grandson Cody A Bolding.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Bolding, Sr.; her sons, Jerry Bolding, Jr. (Tonya) of Dallas, Timothy Bolding (Joann) of Cherryville and Mark Bolding, Sr. (Jetty) of Kings Mountain; and her siblings, Charles Brooks (Rosemary) of Gastonia, Kain Brooks (Sandy) of Gastonia and Ruby Gibson of Gastonia. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Sisk-Butler Funeral Home (730 Gastonia Hwy, Bessemer City, NC 28016). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
