It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kiesta Michelle Rogers Cope of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bentley and Mary Ann Willis Rogers; and her half-sister Sheila Gillory. She is survived by: her husband James Heath Cope; her children, Wilford Sox, Jordan Shumaker (Gloria), Josh Shumaker and Mary Sox (Zack Genung); and her siblings, Junior Lee Williams (Lisa), Kathy Hill (Robert) and Betty J. Rogers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
