She is survived by: her son Taylor Hughes; her granddaughter Kiera Madison Hughes; her father David Nichols Sr.; her siblings, David Nichols Jr., Joshua Nichols and Tracy Newcomb (Ken); her nieces, Kaitlyn Hung (Jordan), Anna Nichols and Melanie Nichols; and her nephew Trey Nichols. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Cavin-Cook Chapel (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
