Margaret Guy Bright Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 20, 2026, at the age of 88, Margaret Guy Bright of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston and Kathleen Robinson Guy; her husband James "Jim" Bright; her brother William P. Guy, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry C. Helms and Myra E. Guy.

She is survived by: her children, James and Elizabeth "Beth" Bright Broadwater (Rob Thompson); her granddaughter Ashley E. Broadwater; her sister Carolyn G. Helms; and her nieces and nephews, Jerry L. Helms (Tammy), W. Preston Guy, III (Kelly) and Jennifer G. Ramsey (Jeff).
