She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Turner and Grace Turner; her husband Eugene "Gene" Sanders; her son Jerry Sanders; her sister Patricia Griffin; her granddaughter Brandi Knutsen; and her great grandchild Nathan Sanders.
She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Garmon (Jerry) and Donna Sanders; her grandchildren, Robbie Sanders (Bree), Steven Sanders and Sean Sanders; and her great grandchildren, Nico Knutsen, Grayson Knutsen, Colby Sanders, Madison Sanders, Corey Sanders, Chase Sanders, Bentlee Sanders, Cole Sanders, Hannah Sanders and Tyler Sanders.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home (2916 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
