With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice Anthony Rowland (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2025 at the age of 80. He is survived by: his wife Alma Marie "Rea" Rowland; his children, Robert Rowland (Jessica Rowland) and Anne Rowland Decker (Terry Decker); his grandchildren, Jessica Rowland, Taylor Lewis (Landen Lewis), McKenzie Teal (Kyle Teal), Parker Rowland, Blake Wilson and Bentley Wilson; his great grandchild Mia Lewis; his brothers, Gerald Rowland (Glenda Rowland) and Gary Rowland (Kathy Rowland); and his siblings' children, Christy, David, Carol, John and Amy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
