We announce the death of Maxine C. Harkey (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 92. Maxine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cagle and Ila Morrow Cagle; her husband Calvin; and her son Jeff. She is survived by: her daughter Leigh Anne Dockery; her grandchildren, Shannon Dellinger (Bobby), Carson Dockery and Bridgette Harkey; and her great grandchildren, Gavin and Gracie Dellinger. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
