Maxine Nations Obituary

We announce the death of Maxine Nations (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 92. Maxine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Nations; and her son Larry Nations. She is survived by: her daughters, Francine McSwain and Karen Conley (John); her grandchildren, Angela Spurlock (Lance), Tony Benton, Kim Quinn and Hubert Larry Nations, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Emma Haskins, Logan Nations, Mikaela Nations and Bryson Nations.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Zion Baptist Church, 2437 S. Propst Street, Gastonia, NC, or to the Humane Society of Gaston County, in honor of Maxine's memory.
