He is survived by: his children, Allen Oneil Lingerfelt, Kathy Jo Poovey (Tracy) and Frank Clay Lingerfelt; his grandchildren, Tammy Flowers (Jeff), Kayleigh Lingerfelt (Devin Brown), Paige Lingerfelt, Bristan Flores (David), Melissa Korn (Scotty), Kayla Hester (Brandon) and Donna "Tooterpoot" Poovey; and his sisters, Gail McPeters and Judy Welch. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; close friend.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
