With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patrick Hoell Smith (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, David Allen and Ada Ellen Hoell Smith; his wife Kristie Pendleton Smith; his children, Campbell Smith and Ava McAllister Smith; his brother David Smith (Zuzu); his mother-in-law Freida Pendleton; his brother-in-law Jody Pendleton (Karen); and his sibling's children, Isabella Smith, J. Allen Smith, Jakeman Pendleton and Paige Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 190 E. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
