She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Sanford of Princeton, NJ; her sister Brenda Robinson (Starr) of Forest City, NC; her cousin Joyce Van Dyke of Kings Mountain, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Vaughn Simon (Shari) of Lake Worth, FL and Martha Smith-Heinz of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
