He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Buck" Fore and Margaret Morgan Fore; and his siblings, Wayne, Gib, Charlie, Donald "Buster", Mozelle Pittman and Nancy Strange.

He is survived by: his wife Suzie Smith Fore; his sisters, Diane Putnam, Janie McCarter, Gail Brown, Judy Hoyle (Lonnie Hoyle) and Kathy Propst; and his caregivers, Angie and Lisa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Salem Baptist Church (1534 Rolling Meadow Ln, Gastonia, NC 28054). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
