With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Plato Pearson Jr. (Gastonia, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Scurry Pearson and Plato Pearson, Sr.; and his siblings, Catherine "Cacky" Pearson Moser, Ann Pearson Thomas and Charles W. Pearson.
He is survived by: his sons, Martin (Tami), Rob (Jane), Steve (Nancy) and Joe (Tracee); his grandchildren, Maria Beaman (William), Christopher Pearson (Kathryn), LeeAnn Dickson (Taylor), Sarah Catherine Huempfner (David), Elizabeth Frost (Charles), Catherine Turner (Ret), Thomas Pearson (Sarah), Stephanie Pearson, David Pearson (Annie), Sydney Wallace (Jared), Rennie Pearson, Annabelle Pearson and Chloe Pearson; and his close friend Helen Styers. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First ARP Church, Gaston Community Foundation, or the Gaston Literacy Council.
