He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Evans and Evelyn Evans; and his sister Jayvita. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Evans; his children, Lesley Fields (Bryan), Matthew Evans, Christi Coomes and Yvonne Evans; his stepson Dean Poteat (Rachel); and his sisters, Betty, Deborah and Billie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
