Abernethy, Jr., Laura Abernethy (Patrick Dieudonne) and Zachary Paul Park of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Enzo Maxwell of Raleigh, NC and Tatum Elizabeth Dieudonne of Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Susan Abernethy (Dennis Rasmussen) of Burlington, NC, Mary Jo Abernethy (Larry Lane) of Burlington, NC and Paul McBee "Mac" Abernethy, Jr. (Cyndi) of Liberty, NC; his nephews, Paul Rasmussen, Clinton Goodson and Bradley Goodson; the mother of his children Sherry Hoyle Thomas (John); and his mother-in-law Vickey Martin Shelton. He is also survived by friends, colleagues, and theater friends.
