He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Erwin Deal and Lillian Teague Deal; and his sister Jane King. He is survived by: his wife Janice Snead Deal; his daughters, Monica (Matthew Morgan) and Regina (Joe Martucci); his grandchildren, Andrew Morgan (Kelsey) and Mollie Algeier (Ryan); and his great grandchild Lilah Clubb.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia Founders Chapel (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
