She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert and Vivian Chestnut Kent; and her husband Dr. Jerry Marshall Gunter, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Marshall Gunter (Angela Ring), Keith Gunter (Bethany) and Eric Gunter (Laura); her grandchildren, Merrin, Emory, Elliott, Blair, Simon and Rory Kate; her brother Bill Kent (Barbara Kent); her nephew Will Kent (Lindsey); and her close friend Betty Windley.
