With sadness, we share the passing of Roger Georg McDaniel of Gastonia, North Carolina. Roger, born on August 14, 1955, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger McDaniel and Helga McDaniel; and his granddaughter Brooklyn McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Peggy McDaniel; his children, Andrea Rhyne (Daniel) and Andrew McDaniel (Diana); and his grandchildren, Kayla, Jaiden, Arielle, Roman, Noah, Elizabeth, Johanna, Naomi, Jawan, Jaquala and Se'marjae.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Ridge AME Zion Church (910 Spencer Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
