He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Oliver and Annie Pearl Yow Wade; and his wife Carolyn Lejeune "June" Padgett Wade. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Wade Dowell (Cary) of Belmont, NC and Jaime Wade Stewart of Belmont, NC; his stepdaughter Dawn Coley Boyd (Chris) of Mount Holly, NC; his grandchildren, Gavin Dowell and Cassidy Burgess (Andrew); his stepgrandsons, Christopher Boyd, II (Danielle Whitlow) and Justin Boyd; his great grandchildren, Parker, Emery and Ryan Boyd; his stepgrandchild Jaiden Sands; his pet Echo; and his siblings, Barbara Owen, Kay Yow, Tommy Wade and Gary Wade. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the West Cramerton Baptist Church (5006 Wilkinson Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28056). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
