With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Lee Wilson (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roy Lee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roy Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Wilson and Mary Wilson; and his brothers, Lawson and Ray Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Patsy "Kat" Oakley Wilson; his daughters, Robin Ramsey (Jim), Lynn McDonald (Terry) and Dawn Fields (Todd); and his siblings, Ronald Wilson, Ralph Wilson and Juanita Oakley. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Souls Harbor Tabernacle (271 Camp Rotary Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
