We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2025, at the age of 98, Ruth Edna Ledford of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Rogers and Arka Nichols Rogers; her husband Dewitt Malcum Ledford; her daughter Linda Whisnant; her granddaughter Karen Meek; her siblings, Ellis, Willis, Willard, Wayne, Charles Rogers, Maggie Rogers Dover, Mary and Wilma Rogers; and her son-in-law Jerry Garland Mull.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Ledford Mull; her siblings, Reba Rogers Denton, Jean Rogers Tucker, Mae Rogers Owenby and Wanda Rogers; and her son-in-law David Whisnant. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the United Baptist Church (1970 Lowell Bethesda Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
