With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Irene Cherry of Gastonia, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Boyd Cherry and Ruth Magdalene Cherry; and her siblings, William David Cherry, Gail Criminger and Frances Cherry.
She is survived by: her brother James Cherry (Peyton); her nephews, Ash Cherry (Christy) and Brittain Cherry (Lauren); and her niece Jennifer Cleere.
