In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Stephen William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Stephen William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pat Ford and Bob Ford. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Skeen of Gastonia, NC; his sons, Stephen "Steve" William Skeen, Jr. (Ronda) of Cairo, GA and Matt Skeen (Amanda) of Gastonia; his brother Kerry Skeen (Kathleen) of Washington State; his granddaughters, Caroline and Sullivan Skeen; and his nephew Casey Skeen (Erica) of Washington State.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to St. Jude.
