He was predeceased by: his former wife Debbie Rimmer; his parents, JC Rimmer and Amy Lounell Elrod Horne; his brothers, Ricky Rimmer and Virgil Sutton; his sister-in-law Frances Rimmer; and his sons, Jonathon and Jeremy Rimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Vickey Rimmer; his children, Chris Rimmer, Brandy Jones (Nathan), Kimberly Starrett (Charlie), Misty Falls (Mike) and Scott Rice (Heather); his siblings, Jimmy Rimmer and Sharon McLlwain (Tommie); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Rimmer, Donna Sutton and Bo Hughes. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 niece; and 4 nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ranlo Baptist Church (1517 Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
