He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McCarthy, Sr. and Elise Conner McCarthy; and his sister Kay M. Tyrell (Johnny Tyrell). He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Kenley McCarthy; his children, Charles "Chuck" Edward McCarthy (Virginia) and Leigh McCarthy Daniels (Timothy); his sister Debra M. Johnson (Tommy); his grandchildren, Charles Edward McCarthy, Jr., Brodie McCarthy, Carley Ann Daniels and Conner D. Adams (Matt); his great grandchildren, Levi Thomas Dunn, William Timothy Adams and Michael Christopher Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Hale (Hank), Charles Kenley (Sandy), Jack Kenley (Jill) and Ellis Bolick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
