She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Robert and Irene Johnson Barton; her son Jamie Alan Atkinson; and her siblings, Robert Barton and Jerry B. Rankin.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Dean Atkinson; her daughters, Hope A. Hyleman (John) and Faith A. Yelton; her daughter-in-law Julie Mason Atkinson of Tampa, FL; her sisters, Joyce B. Laws of Gastonia and Rebecca B. Seng of Greer, SC; and her grandchildren, Dean, Lilly, Mayson Atkinson, Josh, Mckenzie McMillan, Carly Maness, Jerry Yelton, III, Melanie and Meredith Yelton. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
