He is survived by: his children, Edward Kent Bishop (Sandra) of Gastonia and Angel Bishop of Lincolnton; his sister Creta Waldren of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Kaytelyn, Sarah, Wesley and Thomas. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
