She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew White and Rosa Mae Pruden White; her siblings, Emma, Truemella, Fannie, Dorothy, Lillie Mae, Sallie, Ike, Andrew Jr., Lyndell, Robert and John; and her siblings-in-law, JoAnne, Floyd and Willie.

She is survived by : her husband Willie Smith; her goddaughter Tiffany White of Murfreesboro, NC; her mother-in-law Ella Smith of Gatesville, NC.; her siblings-in-law, Sara Holley (Edison) of Trenton, Annie Whitman (Clarke) of Trenton, Rosemary Davis (Stewart), Zanetta Peele, Ella Holley of Elizabeth City, NC, Tonya Jones (Hurley) of Gates, NC, Dora Pruden of Gates, NC, Emma Knight of Roduco, NC, Lillie Owens-White of Murfreesboro, NC., David Peele of Key West, FL, Johnny Peele of Key West, FL, Charles Peele (Clarissa) of Key West, FL, Emmerick Smith of Gatesville, NC, David Smith of Suffolk, VA and Walter Smith of Gates, NC.; and her sister Betty Stewart of Suffolk, VA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community of Hope Funeral Service (357 Hobbsville Rd, Hobbsville, NC 27946). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at 80 Gates Bank Rd, Gates, NC 27937.
