She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverly Boone and Sarah Holland Boone. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Jerry Boone, Jr. of Gates, NC; her children, Sandra Boone of Smithfield, NC, Cheryl Beard (Arnold, Jr.) of Gates, NC, Portia Felton of Raleigh, NC, Rickie Boone and Saul Boone of Eure, NC; and her caregiver Amanda Boone of Franklin, VA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunter's Funeral Home - Gates (701 US-158, Gates, NC 27937). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Boone Cemetery (579 Saunders Rd, Gates, NC 27937).
