We announce the death of Ronald Leslie Parker of Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 82. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Turner Taylor Parker; his parents, Ernest Parker and Alice Smith Parker; his sisters, Gladys Biscomb, Dorothy Lee Ward and Emily DeFelice; and his grandsons, Caleb Kittrell and Justin Kittrell.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Collins (Phil Winslow), David Parker, Jody Brinkley and Jeff Taylor (Lisa); his grandchildren, Anna-Lee Blythe, Mary Alice Wilkey (Nate), Jessica Newsome (Brady), Amber Taylor, Parker Taylor, Ryan Parker and Zoe Parker; and his great grandchildren, L. T. Foster, Grayson Foster, Miller Newsome and Wylder Jo Wilkey.
