She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edward Moody, Sr. and Alberta Myrick Moody. She is survived by: her children, Stacey Brown (Michael) of Cofield, NC, Johnny Taylor, Sr. of Cofield, NC and Philipi Taylor (Tiffany) of Newport News, VA; and her sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Murfreesboro, NC and Lizza Twine of Ahoskie, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunter's Funeral Home - Gates (701 US-158, Gates, NC 27937). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church (1109 Drum Hill Rd, Gates, NC 27937).
