She was predeceased by: her parents, Roseanna Skinner and Mose Skinner; and her husband Melvin Lilly. She is survived by: her sister Edna Skinner; her daughters, Constance Brown and Shieliah Bellamy (Dale); and her grandchildren, Xavier Everett (Amy), Theda Everett, Tonya Gillchrist (Ellis), Tyvonder Jones (Eric), Kne Jones (Jermaine), Tesha Lilly Anderson, James Everett III, Michael Everett (Mary), Lauran Lilly and Erik Lilly. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church (163 Melton Grove Rd, Hertford, NC 27985).
