He is survived by : his sons, John W. McKenzie, Jr. of Gibson and Charlie C. McKenzie of Laurel Hill; his sister Margie M. Waller of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Tabitha Henry, Trey McKenzie, Dawson McKenzie, Charlie McKenzie, Jr. and Summer Newton; and his great grandchildren, Rhiannon Henry, Amanda Henry, Wilder McKenzie, Octavia McKenzie, Shane McKenzie, Tyson "Ty" McKenzie and Brice "B. B." McKenzie. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
