She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Henry Holloman and Mary Louise Gallagher Holloman; her husband Jimmy Preston Gibson; and her son Matthew McCue. She is survived by: her children, Marcus McCue (Allison) of Fayetteville, NC, Kevin McCue (Sandra) of Cameron, NC, Jimmy Junior "J. J." Gibson (Rose) of Raeford, NC and Lisa Gibson Coyles (Chris) of Carthage, NC; her sister Janis Cortez (Rick); her niece Kori King of Florida; and her grandchildren, Taylor Berdeau (Alex), Franklin McCue, Anna McCue, Joshua McCue (Ashton), Casey Barfield (Morgan), Whitney Camacho, Stefen McCue, Jared McCue, Olivia Collins, Kristyn Gibson of Jaylee Gibson, D. J, Broughton (Jacqueline) and Mike Broughton (Emily). She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson Family Residence (14740 St Johns Church Rd, Gibson, NC 28343).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in Karen's memory to Scotland Regional Hospice for Morrison Manor, Post Office Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
