We announce the death of Linda Perry of Glade Valley, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Earl Smith and Edna Ruth Harris Wagoner; her husband Charles "Junior" Perry; her son Jeffrey "Butch" Butcher; and her siblings, Virginia Simons, Betty Hicks, Howell Wagoner and Ted Smith.
She is survived by: her grandson Tyler Rutherford of Ennice; her nieces and nephews, Heather Lackey, Carol Parsons of Winston-Salem, Iva Watkins of McGrady, Joe Hicks (Marilyn) of Boomer and Roger Hicks of Marion, VA; her sister-in-law Carol Parson; and her extended family, John and Lisa Rutherford.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery (2018 Pine Swamp Rd, Sparta, NC 28675).
