It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clara Mae Shaver Basinger of Gold Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Daniel Richard Shaver and Artie Treece Shaver Earnhardt; her husband Will Rogers Basinger; her grandson Ben Basinger; and her brothers, Roy Shaver, Kenneth Shaver and Floyd Shaver.

She is survived by : her sons, Christopher Basinger (Leslie) of Salisbury and Danny Basinger (Yolanda) of Gold Hill; her brother Billy Shaver; her grandchildren, Stacy Anne Cauble (Jason) and Austin Basinger; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Basinger, Savannah Belle Basinger and Julian Cauble.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
