She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank J. Smith and Cynthia E. Peck Smith; her husband Walter G. Compton, Jr.; her sisters, Dollie Compton and Marie Catlet; and her brothers-in-law, Junior Compton, William Morgan and Howard Catlet.
She is survived by: her children, Garry D. Compton (Barbara) of Ohio and Barbara D. Morgan (Jerry) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Jason B. Compton (Lisa), Heather Reiss (Jason), Amy Moore (Jeffrey) and Aaron Morgan (Amber); her great grandchildren, Drew Compton, Tyler Compton, Evan Reiss, Caden Reiss, Sydney Reiss, Braeden Reiss, Keaton Winkler, Rylan Hobbins, Beckham Moore, Landon Morgan and Lily Morgan; and her sister Ruby Morgan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
