He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Whitehead and Sheila Whitehead; and his sister Dianna Whitehead. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Lynn Johnston Whitehead; his children, Tony Pascall, Josie Pines and Casey Scarboro; his sisters, Susan Whitehead McGuire (Troy) and Sharon Whitehead Young (Julie); his brother-in-law Brian Johnston; his friends, Tony, Joyce Stroud and Alan Overton; and his pet Leela. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Church (1100 Pikeville-Princeton Rd, Pikeville, NC 27863). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
