She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sister Amy; her mother Gommy; her husband Albert A. Zurl; her siblings, Catherine Ann Hanks and Joseph "Buddy" Newkirk; her daughter Marie Zurl Warren (Dale); her pet Ellie of Charlotte; her son Karl Zurl (Betsy) of Surf City; her grandchildren, Chelsea Zurl of Wake Forest and Hayden Zurl of Baltimore; her sister Teeny Norfleet; and her sister-in-law Betty Newkirk. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.
