He was predeceased by: his parents, Manley Jackson and Arie Wallace Jackson; his wife Janie Evans Jackson; and his siblings, Lehman Jackson, Pauline Hill, Retha O'Neal, Doris Jackson and Marvin Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Amelia Humphrey and David Jackson (Jeannie); his grandchildren, Heather J. Phillips (Jamie), Joshua Jackson (Bliss), Mary Katherine H. Gurganus (Blake) and Kourtney Humphrey; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Sasser, Shelby Phillips, Paris Jackson, Dallas Jackson, Easton Jackson and Tate Gurganus.
