He is survived by: his parents, Raymond Leonard and Nellie Gray Harrell Darby; his wife Melissa Wheeler Darby; his children, Hunter Darby of Cameron, Haley Darby of Cameron, Melinda Byrd (David) of La Grange and Jessica Brown (D. J.) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Dylan Byrd, Alyssa Byrd and Wyatt Brown; and his siblings, Cheryl Hodgson of Felton, Cathy Tripp of Goldsboro, Denise Darby of New Bern, Wayne Darby of Jensen Beach and Dennis Darby (Bindy) of Godwin.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Church (133 Hill Loop Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A reception will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
